I spent this past weekend at Parco San Marco, a beautiful beach lifestyle resort in Cima di Porlezza, Italy to celebrate my birthday and welcome new beginnings. Read on for my travel diary below.

There’s nothing but lake & mountains surrounding you in this area of Italy so there wasn’t much sightseeing to do. We just soaked in the dolce vita at the resort which is set on a 30,000 m2 subtropical park offering breathtaking views. The first night I enjoyed my birthday dinner at the hotel’s La Terrazza restaurant and even though no one had told them it was my birthday, they surprised me with a candle in my dessert & “happy birthday” song in Italian. The 4-course dinner was quite gourmet & sumptuous and included many organic ingredients. I felt so grateful to be able to celebrate my birthday in such a beautiful place.
