Facetheory Review + Discount Code

Facetheory is a clean and affordable skincare line that reminds me of The Ordinary with its focus on clinical actives, percentages of ingredients and simplified formulas. The brand is originally from the UK but are widely accessible in the US either by their US website or Amazon store and ship across Europe & rest of world. They have a very extensive range of products as well to suit all skin types and concerns. I first tried their Vitamin C serum and more recently their face moisturizer. Facetheory Regena C20 Vitamin C Serum

Facetheory Regena C20 Vitamin C Serum

The Facetheory Vitamin C serum contains 20% Ethyl Ascorbic Acid (they also have a 30% option too) and Ferulic acid derived from rice bran. I’ve used this on and off for over a year as a daytime serum.

Facetheory Vitamin c serum

The Facetheory Vitamin C serum is an oil serum so if you prefer a water based non-oily product, skip Facetheory. If you don’t mind an oil product as your Vitamin C serum, this is a strong product that I don’t find irritating.

Ingredients: Propanediol, 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, Olive Oil Polyglyceryl-4 Esters, Dibutyl Lauroyl Glutamide, Dibutyl Ethylhexanoyl Glutamide, Ferulic Acid

Aventhra Moisturizer

For less than $22 I think this is a great moisturizer that’s thoughtfully formulated with plenty of actives.

  • COLLOIDAL OATMEAL: Facetheory Colloidal-C contains oatmeal with extremely high beta glucan content. Beta glucan is a powerful moisturiser that’s gentle on sensitive skin.
  • PANTHENOL (vitamin B5): protects against water loss
  • HYALURONIC ACID
  • VITAMIN E

This feels gentle, soothing and adequately moisturizing. It doesn’t have the most luxurious texture and is a bit uneven in the jar, but it gets the job done. Simple, clean ingredients, no scent, transparent ingredients list, not filled with a bunch of synthetics and unnecessary ingredients — what more can I say.

If you’re looking for more all natural moisturizer options at the same price of lower $20s, I’d suggest checking out Upcircle Beauty (also originally from the UK) moisturizers and Cocokind’s Resurrection Polypeptide Cream (currently on sale for under $19 at ULTA for their spring sale).
