I’ve been using the NU Evolution Eyeshadows and Mascara for several months now and while the foundation and concealer are the brand’s standout products (see my review here), their eyeshadows and mascara deserve recognition. To learn about my experience and an exclusive discount code keep reading. At the bottom of this post you’ll find my Youtube video showing swatches of all liquid foundations, powder foundations, eyeshadows and more. Check out the best truly non-toxic makeup brands here!
Pictured from left to right is Mica, Socialite and Chocolate Mousse and you can see how beautiful and sophisticated the shades are. Mica is a medium satin taupe & has the slightest amount of shimmer, Socialite is a metallic bronze (one of their bestsellers) and Chocolate Mousse is completely matte darkest brown. And when I say shimmer I don’t mean you can see obvious shimmer flecks in the powder.
What stands out most to me about these eyeshadows is the pigmentation and the buttery velvet texture. They are far superior to 100% Pure’s eyeshadows. This isn’t just good pigmentation it’s intense pigmentation where a small amount goes a long way. The pressed powder is buttery not dry, which results from the Buriti Oil, and magnetically glides on to your eyelid, clinging on and blending easily. It’s made of nontoxic ingredients, fruit and herbal extracts so the delicate eye area stays nourished.
Pictured above is Socialite.

When I first started using the mascara the formula, which is made of waxes, oils & rice powder, was too wet for me and did not do much for my super thin and sparse eyelashes. However after some use and time went by, the contact to air caused the formula to dry a bit, and then it started to work much better. More formula started to cling to my eyelashes and the mascara became buildable for increased volume plus length. I notice this is the case for most mascaras for me. With multiple coats I can get very good volume and length for my lashes and for others who have normal lashes it would probably work even better. The packaging is quite long, hefty and includes a lot of formula which is a great plus.
