I’ve been using Amazon Aware organic bedding for the past several months, including several other Amazon Aware clothing and beauty products. While this is not my first recommendation to people, it is of course an affordable option that makes non-toxic items more accessible to everyone no matter their budget. Oftentimes organic bedding can easily cost hundreds of dollars for a single bedding item, making it an exorbitant expense for most people. Amazon Aware’s starts at $41 for 100% certified organic cotton.
It’s impressive that Amazon Aware has a full-blown consciously made clothing line, cleaning supplies, home goods, towels, bedding, even skincare. It’s also worrisome and I’m sure that there is still a cost to the environment by mass producing all these goods.
Here’s some basic facts about Amazon Aware’s bedding:
- includes (1) 92 x 94 inch duvet cover and (2) 21 x 27 inch standard size pillow shams
- Made of 300-thread-count 100% organic cotton with a soft and sateen finish that gets softer over time
- Features a hidden button closure in 1-inch placket
- arrives in a reusable organic cotton bag
- Made with Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified organic cotton and certified as Made in Green by Oeko-Tex
- certified carbon neutral by ClimatePartner. Learn about our third party sustainability certifications below
Amazon Aware Bedding Review
I ordered the white and it has a natural (not sateen) finish and feed quite sturdy and similar to other organic cotton products I have from reputable brands.
The bedding did have an odd musty scent when it arrived but goes away with a quick wash.
I don’t have anything bad to say about these seriously affordable organic sheets. They may not be the best of the best like my Coyuchi bedding but they are still decent quality, especially with what you pay.
Currently they’re holding up nicely with each wash. I also ordered the Amazon Aware organic towels so will update on how those are.
